We collect minimal data to provide a functional and enjoyable learning experience:
- Authentication Information: If you register an account, we store your email address, username, and encrypted credentials securely via Firebase Auth.
- Typing Metrics: We log words per minute (WPM), typing accuracy, total time spent practicing, lesson progression, and completed certificates to compute levels and stats.
- Local Settings: Caret styles, theme selection (light/dark), and sound volumes are stored directly in your browser's local storage for custom setups.
2. How We Use Data
We use the information collected to:
- Render stats and graphs on your dashboard.
- Show your username and scores on the global ranking leaderboards (only if logged in).
- Qualify you for Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond certifications.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser local storage to save your settings so they persist between visits even if you do not sign in. For logged-in users, session identifiers are held to maintain connection tokens. No advertisement or third-party tracking cookies are used on this site.
